About Kevin Lee

Training both physically and mentally through weightlifting. The use of the barbell has so many uses and the lessons learned, carry over to life itself.   


Since he was young, fitness has been Kevin’s passion. In high school, he was a member of wrestling, football, and Olympic weightlifting teams, while also earning three black belts.

He found that he not only enjoyed participating in these sports, but also loved teaching them to others. So, while still in high school, he became an instructor for 2nd degree Tae Kwon Do and also obtained his first personal training certification.

Kevin eventually made the decision to focus on weightlifting and began working with his mentor, Marc Chasnov, is a USAW level 5 senior international coach. Kevin learned the technical skills required to be a successful competitive weightlifter and, just as importantly, the mindset and mental tenacity needed to accomplish his goals. His proficiency in these two skills is an important benefit he brings to his personal training clients today.

Pursuing his interest in fitness, Kevin obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Fitness Development at SUNY Cortland. As a sophomore, he took the USA Weightlifting 1 coaching certification, and as a junior, he took the USAW 2 certification. Shortly after graduating college he took his second CPT through National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Since 2015, Kevin has been working with Transform Fitness and Training in Tuckahoe, NY, as a personal trainer. His clients range in age and goals - middle school, high school and college athletes looking to develop sport-related strength and agility; women and men of all ages interested in improving their fitness for health reasons or for specific activities; and competitive weightlifters, powerlifters, and crossfitters working to reach the next level in their fields.

Kevin believes that everyone can benefit from a personalized and targeted weight training program. No matter who you are –an 80 year-old living a sedentary lifestyle or an 10 year-old elite athlete looking to win competitions - Kevin will use his enthusiasm and knowledge to coach you to successfully achieving your fitness and health goals.
